Deep Stretchers for Gallery Wrap Display

What is gallery wrap?

Gallery wrap is the term used to describe paintings or prints on canvas that are hung on the wall without any picture frame. The canvas is wrapped around the edge and stapled to the back of the stretcher frame. Usually the painting or image is continuous from the front and around all four sides. Gallery Wrap canvases are widely used because they provide a very attractive and economical way of displaying art.

Unique "L-Shaped" Stretcher Design                     Heavy Duty Basic 1-5/8" thick

We have several stretcher profiles for Gallery Wrap applications: the "L-Shaped" Basic Deep and Standard Deep stretchers, as well as all of our Heavy Duty profiles. A popular “off-the-wall” frame thickness for these deep stretchers is 1-5/8" (our HD Basic and HD Standard profiles).  We can custom make our L-Shaped profile frames to any size and thickness you want. Where necessary, our stretchers can be fitted with our regular cross-braces to provide very rigid and keyable support for your canvas. Our unique laminated “L-Shaped” and Heavy Duty profiles create a very strong and stable stretcher bar which will remain straight and true and not twist or warp over time.
